Meet Stewart Flink

Stewart Flink

Stewart has over 40 years of experience in the securities industry having worked at O’Connor Partnership on the CBOE, Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns and CIBC Oppenheimer. In the past 15 years, Stewart has invested in over 400 public and private company investments, and deployed over $850 million during this time frame. This was done through two funds as well as on a personal basis.

In August of 1998, Mr. Flink started Dillon Capital, which focused on technology, healthcare, energy and alternative energy, and to a limited extent, mining and precious metals. Investments have been primarily in the US as well as Canada, South America and Israel.

Prior to starting Dillon Capital, he founded Crestview Capital in September 1999 which grew to over $250M of assets under management. To date, he has participated in over 400 private placements in public companies and structured transactions. Mr. Flink has experience in all aspects of investments including money management, hedge funds, venture capital, and operations, as well as strategic and financial consulting.

Mr. Flink has presented before many groups, including universities, accounting firms and peer groups. Topics have included non-correlated assets structured transactions, warrants, and case studies as well as how to protect assets in declining environments. In addition, he has written articles on hedge funds, published monthly newsletters and written a chapter on hedge funds in PIPEs: A Guide to Private Investments in Public Equity published by Bloomberg.

Mr. Flink graduated with a BA in Economics and Psychology in 1978, and with an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University in Finance in 1983. He served on the board of Ben Gurion University in Israel for ten years, and was on the investment committee of the endowment fund. He taught a six week course in the summer of 2012 in the honors MBA program on alternative investments and capital markets. Mr. Flink was the former President and Treasurer of Chicagoland Jewish High School, where he served on the board for 10 years. Mr. Flink has four children, four grandchildren, and has been married to Jennifer for 39 years.
